Bacillus cereus

Bacillus cereus is one of the aerobic spore (endospore) forming bacteria widely dispersed in our living environment such as soil, plants, air, etc.

The “spore form” is heat resistant surviving even at temperatures of 100ºC/30 minutes.

B. cereus produces toxins which are responsible of food poisoning.
