Accreditation under the Japan National Laboratory Accreditation (JNLA) System for JIS antimicrobial testing
Registration No.: 020178JP
The company is accredited as a test laboratory conforming to the international standards with regard to antimicrobial testing.
The Development Dept. of Sinanen Zeomic was accredited under the Japan National Laboratory Accreditation System (JNLA) for antimicrobial testing on June 14, 2002.
This system is to certify that a commercial test laboratory accredited under it conforms to general requirements of ISO/IEC17025: Competency of test laboratories and calibration organs as defined by the International Organization for Standardization under the amended Japan Industrial Standardization Law enforced on September 26, 1997.
Examination and accreditation under this system is performed by the National Institute of Technology and Evaluation, an agency formed by separating one department of the former MITI as an independent entity.
This system has been promoted against a background that there is a growing need for a system based on international rules on conformity evaluation such as testing and accreditation due to the advancement of borderless economy and as part of deregulation of various systems. A commercial test laboratory certified under this system can expressly declare its qualification as a reliable laboratory test service provider.
The antimicrobial testing for which the company has been accredited recently is relating to Japan Industrial Standard (JIS) Z2801: Antimicrobial articles, antimicrobial test method and antimicrobial effect, established on December 20, 2000. The company was proved to have systems and skills comparable to those of independent institutions specialized in microbe assessment as an organ to assess the antimicrobial effect of products employing antimicrobial agents. Our reliability in microbe-related tests is ranked among the highest even by the international standard.
The company receives a number of test orders from our antimicrobial business partners, who hope to have their test pieces, which represent antimicrobial treatment given on the users' part, evaluated. We are now prepared to perform evaluation tests accurately and provide feedbacks to those who requested the tests with stronger confidence in their reliability than before.
With the Society of Industrial-Technology for Antimicrobial Articles (SIAA), an industry association, having included our test certificate in its registration data requirements, the company's testing ability now constitutes part of the standards providing the industry with credit.
We can expect great advantages supporting our antimicrobial agent sales activities from the undertaking of such tests on commission in the future.
