Zeomic's deodorizing function
Zeomic has not only an antibacterial effect but also a deodorizing effect. The synergistic effect of physical adsorption of odor components by zeolite and chemical adsorption by metal ions is effective against a wide range of odor components. When Zeomic is processed on fabrics, it is possible to achieve two effects of “antibacterial” and “deodorizing” with a single agent.
Zeomic's deodorizing mechanism
Zeomic has an odor-elimination effect on a wide range of odors due to its physisorption and chemisorption abilities. It is also characterized as an agent with low re-emission.
Physical Adsorption
The particle surface of Zeomic’s porous zeolite is made up of an innumerable number of fine pores that reduce the number of malodorous elements through a physical adsorption mechanism.
Chemical Adsorption
The deodorizing effect of Zeomic is produced through a chemical adsorption mechanism borne from the interaction between the metallic ions contained within the zeolite framework and the malodorous elements.
Deodorant performance test data
We have deodorant data for Zeomic (powder) and Zeomic-processed cloth.
- Zeomic (powder) deodorizing effect
- Deodorizing effect on after-processed fabric
- Zeomic powder deodorization cigarette odor data
Zeomic's deodorant function
By inhibiting the growth of bacteria, Zeomic also inhibits the gases generated by the metabolisms of bacteria, thus is anticipated to have a deodorizing effect.
