Escherichia coli

Escherichia coli exist in bowels of human and animals.  It is gram negative and facultative anaerobic bacillus, and used as indicator organism of food pollution.  It decompose glucose and lactose, producing acid and gas.  It is normally not pathogenic, however, it is reported that it is occasionally pathogenic and causes inflammation.
